" Jodie-Ann (they/them)  is a registered social worker, educator, and community organizer based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang (Montréal, QC). This land has served as a meeting place for multiple Indigenous nations, and the Kanken’kehá:ka are recognized as the stewards of these lands and waters. They hold a Bachelor of Social Work (2020) and are currently completing their Master of Social Work, both from McGill University. They operate from a humanistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens, and have a deep commitment to their anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and decolonial values. They fundamentally believe that every person has the capacity to heal themselves, and they are honoured to have the opportunity to support and bear witness to that process of growth.

They have a diverse background of professional experiences, having developed an expertise in addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation, among others. In regards to their trauma-focused work, they have mainly focused on supporting survivors of sexual, conjugal, family, and honour-based violence. They also have experience working in harm reduction with people who use substances, either recreationally or medicinally. Over the course of their career, they have developed experience working across the lifespan, however their current practice focuses mainly on people over 18 years of age"
